Real-Time Stock Analytics

In the MAGI presentation at Brownstone Research, Marc Chaikin’s Power Gauge provides real-time analytics on the stocks Jeff Brown recommends. The system rates over 6,000 stocks and ETFs using 20 different factors, and it translates those factors into simple ratings: bullish, neutral, or bearant. The ratings update continuously based on the latest market data, giving investors a real-time view of institutional money flow and stock health.

As we explain in our full review of the MAGI presentation, the Power Gauge is the quantitative engine behind the timing calls in the presentation. While Brown provides the fundamental technology analysis, Chaikin’s system provides the real-time analytics that confirm whether institutional money is flowing into or out of the recommended stocks.

How Real-Time Analytics Works

The Power Gauge tracks 20 factors across two categories. Fundamental factors include earnings growth, price-to-earnings ratios, and cash flow. Technical factors include price trends, volume, and insider interest. The system monitors these factors in real time and updates its ratings as new data comes in.

Chaikin explains the foundation: “I designed this system to track money flow from institutional investors, because nothing makes a stock go up or down faster than the action of those investors.” Institutional investors leave footprints when they buy and sell. They cannot build large positions instantly without moving the price, so they accumulate over time. The Power Gauge detects that accumulation through volume and price analysis.

The real-time aspect is important because market conditions change. A stock that was bullish last quarter might shift to neutral or bearish as institutional money flows out. The Power Gauge’s continuous monitoring helps investors stay on top of those shifts. For more on the system, see our articles on the Power Gauge and money flow.

The Bullish Signals in the MAGI Presentation

In the MAGI presentation, the Power Gauge shows bullish ratings on three specific stocks:

AMD (the free ticker): Chaikin says “AMD also has a bullish rating from my system. It’s getting a very strong bullish signal, which means institutional investors are buying heavily.” AMD makes both CPUs and GPUs for AI data centers, and its Instinct MI300 and MI350 series GPUs are “winning huge deals with OpenAI, Meta, Microsoft, and others.” Earnings are expected to jump 76 percent this year. For more, see our article on AMD stock.

The hidden Tesla supplier: This company makes power-delivery technology for Optimus robot actuators. Chaikin says his system is “showing a bullish rating for this company right now.” Morgan Stanley has recommended the stock as a key way to play the robotics trend, and 39 hedge funds are already invested.

The Terafab equipment supplier: This company has been approached by Tesla to supply semiconductor manufacturing equipment for the Terafab project. Chaikin says his system has a “very bullish rating for this company right now.” At least 26 brokerage firms have raised their price targets on the stock.

The Track Record Behind the Signals

The Power Gauge’s real-time analytics carry weight because of the system’s track record:

  • After ChatGPT launched, the system “flashed bullish for all the top AI stocks” with peak gains of 775 percent on Broadcom, 1,324 percent on Palantir, and 1,423 percent on Western Digital
  • The system “flagged all of the top 10 performing AI stocks, no exception”
  • On average, the Power Gauge has flashed bullish on at least eight of the top 10 stocks of the year, every year, going back to 2016
  • In the 2022 midterm cycle, the system flagged Meta, Builders First Source, and AMD, all of which more than doubled within 12 months

Chaikin says: “Had you followed every single one of those signals, you’d likely be set for life.” That is a strong claim, and past performance does not guarantee future results. But the consistency of the system’s track record across multiple years and market conditions gives its current bullish signals credibility. For more on Chaikin, see our profile of Marc Chaikin.

Real-Time Analytics Meets the Election Cycle

The Power Gauge’s real-time signals are paired with what Chaikin calls the election cycle, a market pattern he says has never failed since 1950. The pattern is that buying during midterm election year corrections has produced gains 12 months later in 100 percent of cases, with average gains of nearly 40 percent for the entire market.

The combination of real-time stock-level analytics and historical market-level timing is what drives the urgency in the MAGI presentation. Brown says: “Elon Musk said he will begin to ramp up production of this new AI breakthrough by the end of the month.” Chaikin says: “My system is lighting up like a Christmas tree, which tells me the big players on Wall Street are already preparing for what’s coming.”

The real-time analytics confirm that institutional money is flowing into the recommended stocks. The election cycle provides the macro-level timing framework. Together, they provide both the “what to buy” and “when to buy” answers. For more on how these fit together, see our article on technological shifts and market cycles.

Institutional Money Flow Evidence

Brown provides specific evidence of institutional money already flowing into AI and robotics that corroborates the Power Gauge’s signals:

  • Jeff Bezos: $400 million invested
  • George Soros: $69 million
  • Bill Ackman: $4.1 billion
  • Citadel: $7.3 billion
  • Marc Andreessen: $500 million

Brown also says tech insider buying has hit “the highest level we’ve seen in 15 years.” The last time insider buying was at this level was 2020, which turned out to be “the single best buying opportunity of this decade.”

These data points are not necessarily endorsements of the specific MAGI thesis, but they are real evidence that institutional capital is flowing into AI and robotics at extraordinary levels. The Power Gauge’s real-time analytics are detecting that flow quantitatively.

Using Real-Time Analytics as an Investor

The Power Gauge is designed to be accessible to any investor. Chaikon says: “You don’t have to calculate or even understand what any of these mean, because my system just translates that into a simple stock rating system anyone can understand.” If you have a computer and internet connection, you can look up the rating on any of the 6,000+ stocks and ETFs the system covers.

The real-time analytics are most useful as one input in your investment process. They tell you whether institutional money is flowing into a stock, based on 20 factors. They do not guarantee returns. The system’s track record is based on historical data, and past performance does not guarantee future results. But having a quantitative system that flagged all of the top 10 performing AI stocks as a real-time screening tool is genuinely useful for investors who want to understand where institutional money is heading.
