What People Are Asking

Most searches around One Ticker Trader come down to a few questions: is Larry Benedict legit, is the $19 offer a good deal, and does trading options on a single ETF actually work for regular investors. The service, published by The Opportunistic Trader under MarketWise, is built around one ticker, the Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP).

The Credentials Are Real, the Returns Are Not Checkable

On the first question, Benedict checks out. He is a hedge fund veteran profiled in Jack Schwager’s “Hedge Fund Market Wizards,” which is a meaningful credential rather than a marketing invention. The promo’s track record is a different story. Claims of 20 consecutive winning years, $274 million in client profits, and a 279% return in 2025 versus the S&P 500’s 15% are not independently auditable, so readers should treat them as promotional figures.

The Real Risk in a One-Ticker Options Strategy

The structural risk is concentration. Trading options on RSP means every trade depends on how the equal-weight index behaves, and options require being right about direction and timing, not just direction. RSP itself has performed well, up 13.9% in 2026 versus 11.6% for the S&P 500, but the service is not selling you the ETF, it is selling you option trades on it.
