The Service Behind Project 2026
One Ticker Trader is Larry Benedict’s options trading service, published by The Opportunistic Trader under the MarketWise umbrella. The pitch is in the name: rather than a portfolio of dozens of stocks, the service trades options on a single ticker, the Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF known as RSP. The Project 2026 presentation argues that a rotation inside the S&P 500 will make that one fund the center of the trade.
Why One Ticker Is a Double-Edged Choice
There is a real simplicity argument here. Trading one liquid, well-known fund means fewer moving parts, lower commissions, and a position that is easy to follow. RSP is a large, heavily traded fund with about $99.18 billion in assets and a 0.20% expense ratio.
The trade-off is that options on a single underlying concentrate your exposure. When you are only trading RSP, every thesis lives or dies on how the equal-weight index performs, and options add the extra requirement of getting both direction and timing right. A buy-and-hold investor only needs to be right about direction. An options trader needs both.
What You Are Actually Buying

The advertised numbers are aggressive: 20 consecutive winning years, $274 million in client profits, and a 279% return in 2025 against the S&P 500’s 15%.
