Dylan Jovine Stock Picks: The Full Record

Dylan Jovine’s stock picks have generated enormous returns for followers of his Behind the Markets research service. His documented track record spans eight years and includes calls on Palantir, Micron, Rocket Lab, Axon, and gold itself. Across every closed recommendation, winners and losers combined, he reports a 71 percent win rate and a 40 percent average return. As we detail in our full review of the BTM Gold War presentation, the record is verifiable and worth examining.

The Major Calls

Palantir (PLTR): Recommended at ~$7, peaked over $207. Jovine told readers to buy an unknown tech company called Palantir around $7 a share. Wall Street saw another software seller. Jovine saw “a national weapon, the data platform the U.S. military, the spy agencies, and the CIA physically could not operate without.” The stock ran as high as $207, a gain of over 2,857 percent. A $5,000 investment could have grown as high as $142,850.

Rocket Lab (RKLB): Up 2,500% since $3.80. Every $5,000 invested ran as high as $130,000. Jovine identified Rocket Lab early as a critical player in the space economy.

Axon (AXON): Up over 3,000% since $28. Recommended years before Wall Street understood the company’s position in law enforcement technology.

Micron (MU): Up 677% since recommendation. Jovine flagged Micron after exposing links between American technology and China’s military buildup. The Chinese Communist Party sent someone to “talk to” him about his statements. He reported the contact to federal authorities and kept publishing. Every $5,000 could have come back as $38,850.

The Gold Call

In 2021, Jovine recommended gold at $1,800 an ounce. He wrote: “The world is entering a new cycle of war. Russia and China are trying to flip the international script just like Germany did in 1914.” Wall Street called gold a relic. Today gold trades around $4,000, after touching an all-time high near $5,600 in January. More than double from one call. For more on the gold thesis, see our gold price analysis.

The Crash Calls

Jovine called the housing crash a full year before Lehman Brothers collapsed. On June 9, 2006, he issued a public warning: “The market has no place else to go but down. It’s not a question of ‘if’ it’s a question of ‘when.’” That call got him invited to meet privately with President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

When the Dow dropped 54 percent, he went on CNBC calling the bottom. Followers had the chance to book gains of 459 percent on AutoNation, 646 percent on American Express, 700 percent on Starbucks, 102 percent on PagSeguro, 124 percent on DraftKings, 155 percent on Floor and Decor, and 202 percent on Scotts Miracle-Gro.

In March 2020, he called the Covid crash bottom almost to the exact day: “When we get to the other side of this, the market will have a ‘SNAP-BACK’ rally because prices and interest rates are so cheap.”

Additional Winners

Jovine’s documented winners also include Intelsat, which jumped 339 percent in four months; C3.AI, flagged before the world knew the acronym, for 133 percent; Eli Lilly, for 151 percent; Viking Therapeutics, for 309 percent; IonQ, at the frontier of quantum computing, for 257 percent; and AeroVironment, the defense drone builder, for 120 percent.

He acknowledges he did not ride every recommendation to its absolute peak. The gains represent “since recommended” figures, which may reflect peak-to-peak or entry-to-peak rather than closed-position returns. But he is transparent: “that is not a cherry-picked list. Across eight years and every closed recommendation, winners and losers combined, my research has delivered a 71% win rate and a 40% average return.”

The Arsenal and Kinross

In the current Gold War presentation, Jovine’s most urgent pick is a company he calls “The Arsenal,” a tiny American gold miner backed by nearly $3 billion in EXIM Bank financing and the investment of John Paulson, who has put $185 million into the stock. The Arsenal is roughly one-fiftieth the size of Newmont and produces no revenue yet, making it a high-risk, high-reward position.

For investors who want gold exposure without subscribing, Jovine gives away Kinross Gold (KGC) for free. Kinross is a major American gold producer trading near 12 times earnings with a Wall Street price target of $40.24. For more, see our Kinross Gold analysis. The Method Behind the Picks

Jovine describes his method clearly. When he found Palantir at $7, he was not reading software reviews. He was reading government contracts. He saw the one company the American security state could not function without, before Wall Street knew what it was looking at. He applies the same lens to the Arsenal: reading federal filings, EXIM Bank board votes, executive orders, and federal financing documents.

This is a fundamentally different approach from chart-based technical analysis or narrative-driven momentum investing. It is document-driven research that looks for government fingerprints before the crowd catches on.
