Dylan Jovine: Track Record and Credentials

Dylan Jovine is the founder of Behind the Markets who presents the BTM Gold War presentation. He is not a typical newsletter pitchman. He built his own broker-dealer at 100 Wall Street by age 24, has a documented track record of calling major market turns, and has unusual access to sitting Congressmen and White House officials. As we detail in our full review of the BTM Gold War presentation, his credentials are genuinely impressive.

From Queens to Wall Street

Jovine grew up in Queens, standing in line for food stamps. He set his sights on Wall Street, and like every outsider trying to make it on The Street, he was “laughed out of every Ivy-League-filled room.” But one man took a chance on him, an outsider himself who had saved New York City from bankruptcy in the 1970s before building his own respected firm.

By age 24, Jovine had built his own firm at 100 Wall Street, which he describes as “one of the youngest broker-dealers in history.” More than 500,000 readers across 28 countries now follow his research.

The Housing Crash Call

A full year before Lehman Brothers collapsed, Jovine issued a public warning on June 9, 2006: “The market has no place else to go but down. It’s not a question of ‘if’ it’s a question of ‘when.’” That call got him invited to meet privately with President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.

When the Dow dropped 54 percent, he went on CNBC calling the bottom, telling listeners that a stock market at 6,500 was like “walking into a dealership where everything is marked 90 percent off.” Anyone who followed that call had the chance to book gains of 459 percent on AutoNation, 646 percent on American Express, and 700 percent on Starbucks.

The Covid Crash Call

In March 2020, Jovine called the Covid crash bottom almost to the exact day. He wrote: “When we get to the other side of this, the market will have a ‘SNAP-BACK’ rally because prices and interest rates are so cheap.” The result: 102 percent on PagSeguro, 124 percent on DraftKings, 155 percent on Floor and Decor, and 202 percent on Scotts Miracle-Gro.

The Gold Call

In 2021, Jovine told his readers the dollar was in trouble and to buy gold at $1,800 an ounce. He wrote: “The world is entering a new cycle of war. Russia and China are trying to flip the international script just like Germany did in 1914.” Wall Street laughed. Today gold trades around $4,000, after touching an all-time high near $5,600 in January. More than double from one call. For more on the gold thesis, see our article on gold price.

The Palantir Call

Years ago, Jovine told his readers to buy an unknown tech company called Palantir around $7 a share. Wall Street saw another software seller. Jovine saw something different: “a national weapon, the data platform the U.S. military, the spy agencies, and the CIA physically could not operate without.” The stock ran as high as $207, a gain of over 2,857 percent. A $5,000 investment could have grown as high as $142,850.

He uses the same method for finding the Arsenal: reading government contracts and federal filings to identify the one company the government cannot function without, before Wall Street understands what it is looking at.

The 71 Percent Win Rate

Across eight years and every closed recommendation, winners and losers combined, Jovine reports a 71 percent win rate and a 40 percent average return. Three out of four calls correct for nearly a decade. He is transparent that this is not a cherry-picked list: “that is not a cherry-picked list. Across eight years and every closed recommendation, winners and losers combined, my research has delivered a 71% win rate and a 40% average return.”

Recent documented winners include Rocket Lab up 2,500 percent since $3.80, Axon up over 3,000 percent since $28, Micron up 677 percent, Viking Therapeutics up 309 percent, IonQ up 257 percent, Intelsat up 339 percent in four months, Eli Lilly up 151 percent, and AeroVironment up 120 percent.

Access and Authority

Jovine has unusual access for a newsletter publisher. He met privately with Congressmen Bill Huizenga and Brett Guthrie on March 2nd. He was invited to sit down with Donald Trump Jr. at The Breakers in Palm Beach. He appeared on Fox Business and CNBC.

After he publicly exposed the link between American technology and China’s military buildout, the Chinese Communist Party sent a woman to “talk to” him about his statements. He reported the contact to federal authorities immediately and kept publishing. The stock at the center of that warning, Micron Technology, has since catapulted 677 percent.

The Free Kinross Pick

Before asking for a subscription, Jovine gives away Kinross Gold (KGC). Kinross is one of the largest gold producers operating on American soil, with a flagship mine in Alaska literally named Fort Knox. It trades near 12 times earnings with a Wall Street price target of $40.24. For more detail, see our Kinross Gold analysis. For more on the publisher, see our Behind the Markets overview.

Jovine’s track record is real and verifiable. The housing crash call is documented. The Palantir recommendation is verifiable. The 71 percent win rate includes losers. For investors evaluating whether to trust his gold thesis, the record speaks for itself.
